MESSAGE FROM THE COUNSELOR

Dear Cougar Families:

I am excited to join the Cougar family as the new school counselor. As a mother of three children who also attend JCPS schools, it is important to me that I advocate for the students at Cane Run as if they were my own. I have been with the district for 5 years, providing mental health services for elementary students across the district. Prior to coming to JCPS I worked in social services, advocating and providing resources for marginalized families in the Louisville area.

My goal is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students in a safe and nurturing environment. I am committed to partnering with stakeholders to provide evidence-based support to empower student growth and build skills for life-long learning.

I look forward to working with students and their families as they embark on their learning journey at Cane Run Elementary.

Sincerely,
