Email Shelby Steege

Shelby Steege has ben in theatre education for over 20 years. She has been the theatre teacher/ director at Atherton High school since Aug of 2018.  Before that she spent 17 years teaching and directing in Spencer County Kentucky.  Since moving to Kentucky, from Milwaukee, WI, she has worked with The Lexington Children’s Theatre, Stage One, Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, and served for 10 years as the Artistic Director of Anchorage Children’s Theatre.  She received her BFA in Theater Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University (1998) and her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Spalding University (2004). She was recently given the Theatre Educator of the Year Award by Arts-Louisville/ Broadway World  She's loved theatre and working with kids for as long as she can remember and is very thankful that she gets to do both in a job she loves!
