Welcome to the Academic Interventions and Enrichment Program at Fairdale Elementary, where our mission is to challenge and engage every learner through effective teaching and meaningful experiences within supportive environments. Our program is dedicated to providing equitable instruction and opportunities for growth, ensuring that all students have the chance to accelerate and succeed.

Our approach is built upon a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), a comprehensive framework designed to address academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. The MTSS framework operates through three tiers of instruction:

• Tier 1: This tier involves differentiated instruction provided to all students within the classroom setting. Our goal is to meet the diverse needs of each learner and ensure that every student receives high-quality, equitable instruction.

• Tier 2: For students requiring additional support, we offer targeted small group interventions within the classroom. This supplemental assistance focuses on addressing specific needs and reinforcing skills.

• Tier 3: This tier provides intensive, individualized support for students who need more focused attention on foundational skills. This personalized approach aims to address critical gaps and support significant growth.

Our MTSS framework incorporates evidence-based practices and data-driven decision-making to support academic and behavioral development. It ensures that all students have multiple opportunities to master grade-level standards and focuses on accelerating growth for learners at all levels—whether they are below, on, or above grade level.

Through RTI (Response to Intervention) components and the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Principles, our program offers prevention, differentiation, personalization, and enrichment activities. We employ multiple means of representation to clarify the what, the why, and the how of learning, providing a deeper and more engaging educational experience for every student.
